چکیده
In the cost–benefit analysis of urban transportation investment, a logsum-based benefit calculation is widely used. However, it rarely applied to inter-regional transportation. this study, we approach benefits for high-speed projects railways in Korea’s long-term plan. Moreover, behavioral model which an agent travels beyond zones assumed by aggregate model. case South Korea, such important determining priorities: whether specialize mobility improvement investing railway project, as 300 km/h Korea Train eXpress (KTX), or improve existing facilities, building relatively slower railroad (150–250 km/h) enhance and accessibility. context, if new, slow were constructed adjacent railroad, would be negligible since reduction travel time not sufficiently reflect accessibility improvements. Therefore, study proposes use agent-based models evaluate intercity service conduct with proposed new methodology. A logsum was selected account passenger cars on semi-high-speed railroads simultaneously has been used estimate modes modes. To calculate logsum, input data from both individual models, found that feasibility investment possible. can also analysis. The methods are expected enable more comprehensive evaluation transport system. model, suggested further studies undertake detailed scenario estimation.

The full cost of high-speed rail: an engineering approach
Correspondence to: D. Levinson (e-mail: [email protected]) Abstract. This paper examines the full costs, defined as the sum of private and social costs, of a high-speed rail system proposed for a corridor connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco in California. The full costs include infrastructure, fleet capital and operating expenses, the time users spend on the system, and the soc...

Performance-Based Technology Scanning (PBTS) is a methodology for identifying areas where new technologies can have greatest performance benefits in terms of reducing costs, increasing market share, and achieving higher profitability. New technologies, however exciting, are germane only if important improvements in performance are realized. Utility analyses quantify the impact that technology c...
